About Me

Lesley Werle
I will be graduating in May of 2008 with a BFA in dance as well a minor in Spanish. After graduation I plan on pursuing my passion for performing all different styles of dance, including modern, hip-hop, jazz, and even salsa. I love to expose myself to any and all kinds of performance art and learn dance forms from other countries. Since I've recently had my first taste of what it's like to travel outside of the U.S., I've been aching to continue to see the world and meet new people. The two months I spent in Costa Rica this past summer has allowed me to realize how much I love to speak the language and learn about other cultures. In this class I would like to explore how to be able to maximize performance opportunity, while still being able to pay rent. I would also like to explore how to put together a resume and tips on how to impress at an interview/audition. Another idea I would like to look into the most is how to pursue a performance career in dance outside of modern dance companies. email contact: lwerle2@uiuc.edu
